Duncan Moore
Director

Originally from Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs, Duncan fell in love with Port Lincoln’s coastline and community, making it his home. With over 20 years in the building industry, he is a licensed builder and the driving force behind Moore Design and Construct. Passionate about blending architecture and construction, he’s furthering his expertise with a degree in Architecture at Curtin University. When he’s not designing homes, you’ll find him on the football field, fishing, diving, or enjoying the beach with daughters, Frankie and Eba.

Sam Heinjus
Leading Hand

Originally from a farm near Redhill, Sam has a deep appreciation for the outdoors, making Port Lincoln the perfect place for his love of fishing, surfing, and camping. With nearly four years at MDC, he’s become a key team member, valuing the diverse projects and hands-on experience. A qualified carpenter, Sam’s expertise spans commercial and residential construction, with standout contributions to the Point Boston and Haigh Drive builds. He’s now expanding into project management and working toward his builder’s license. On weekends, if he is not with his wife Gemma or his son Jed you’ll find him on the golf course, the footy field, or by the ocean.

Kyle Daris
Carpenter

Originally from Port Noarlunga, Kyle has embraced life in Port Lincoln, drawn to its flexible lifestyle and top-tier fishing spots. Joining MDC has given him the autonomy to work on high-end builds while honing skills he can one day use on his own home. Passionate about hands-on projects, he takes pride in craftsmanship and quality construction. Outside of work, Kyle spends his weekends fishing and playing footy, enjoying the coastal lifestyle with his partner, Kendal.

Dylan Vonderwall
Apprentice

A Port Lincoln local, Dylan loves the town’s relaxed coastal lifestyle. After four years at Tradelink, he embraced a new challenge at MDC and hasn’t looked back. Now an apprentice, he’s honing his skills and working toward becoming a fully qualified builder. One of his proudest projects? A standout house extension in Lock. Off the clock, Dylan enjoys a game of 8 ball or a round of golf. He and his partner, Shakira, have one daughter who joins their lively home of three dogs and four cats.

Ty Gardiner
Apprentice

Originally from Ballarat, Ty now calls Port Lincoln home, loving its stunning coastlines and national parks. After over a decade as a professional fisherman, he made the leap into construction, joining MDC a year and a half ago. Now an apprentice, he’s passionate about learning the trade, with standout projects including the Coffin Bay build and Orabanda Drive. Outside of work, Ty enjoys gardening, fishing, and watching his son play footy. He and his partner Amie, together for 21 years, share their home with their two sons, a German Shepherd named Luna, 23 chickens, and three beehives.

Keelan McClean
Apprentice

Originally from Port MacDonnell/Mount Gambier, Keelan moved to Adelaide in 2021 before settling in Port Lincoln. Joining MDC in November 2024, he’s enjoying small-town life again and learning something new every day on-site. With a background in fast food, retail, and disability mentoring, he finally took the leap to pursue his long-time goal of becoming a builder. His first full project, the Point Boston build, is a milestone he’s excited to be part of. Off the clock, weekends are spent relaxing with his partner Chloe, their dogs Ernie and Peggy, and homemade pizza nights.

Jett Kolpondinos
Apprentice

Born and raised in Port Lincoln, Jett loves the town’s beaches, tight-knit community, and shared family passions for fishing and camping. Now as an apprentice at MDC, he’s eager to learn the trade and work toward becoming a qualified builder. When he’s not on-site, you’ll find him playing footy, spending time with family and friends, or working on his Ute with his dad. At home, his loyal Boxer, Zeus, is always by his side.

Whitney Fitzgerald
Administrative Assistant

Originally from Port Pirie, Whitney cherishes her hometown’s strong sense of community. Now settled in Port Lincoln with her husband Blair and their three children, she loves the coastal lifestyle and close connections she’s built. With a background in graphic design, specializing in event stationery and branding, she’s embraced a new challenge at MDC as an admin assistant. Outside of work, she’s all about family time, catching up with friends, and cheering on Port Power at AFL games.

Murphy Moore
Site Manager

Meet Murphy, MDC’s four-legged site manager and Duncan’s right-hand man. This energetic Border Collie is more than just a companion he’s a vital part of the team. Whether fetching tools, keeping an eye on the worksite, or brightening everyone’s day with his playful spirit, Murphy takes his role seriously. His top priorities? Quality control, site security (postmen and birds beware!), and fine dining. Nothing beats a good steak or loin chop. With his loyalty and enthusiasm, Murphy reminds us to tackle every project with dedication and heart.
